Laura Simonsen is a Glasgow School of Art Graduate and British photographer currently based in Hong Kong. She has had an extensive creative career for the past 16 years as a visualiser in the architectural industry, working in major architectural firms globally. After completing her postgraduate teaching certificate in June 2018 she is now a Visual Arts teacher in a secondary school in Hong Kong. With her photography she tells visual stories from sub-cultures and minority groups. She has successfully held multiple exhibitions, 4 of these being solo exhibits. Her passion is to communicate visually inspiring stories to open minds and send a message to her audience. She is also an avid street photographer when not working on a planned project. Her camera is her constant companion. She documents people and captures moments as they happen during her observations of life around her. Her work has been featured frequently in the media in Hong Kong and further afield.
